Look Ma! No Trainin' Wheels!

Friday afternoon, while Rachael was at work, Rylee and I were bored. So I said, "Hey Rylee, wanna take the training wheels off your bike!" Rylee was thrilled. I had promised her a couple of months ago that she would be "livin to ride and ridin to live," by the end of the summer. She was a natural, she took off right away, going about thirty or forty feet at first. The next day, she was going the length of the garage under our building. Now she can even stop by herself and sometimes turn around. We are still working on turning and starting, but she is awesome. Congrats to Rylee!

CONGRATS RYLEE! That is so awesome that she learned so quick. When you guys are out here she can try riding down the hill by the capitol.

WOW! That's so awesome!! We'll have to have Rylee give Emma some tips...especially when it comes to watching for people in front of her. You can view our blog to understand. :) Seriously, way to go Rylee!! -Karen

Congrats! What a big step for a big girl. That is so very exciting. Learning to ride a bike is almost as freeing as getting your driver's license!

You realize, Rylan, that you caused us to have to teach Emma to ride without training wheels as well? ;)

No WAY! I am so impressed! We took Sophie and Syrena's training wheels off last week. By the end everyone was in tears-- even scott, practically. Looks like his athletic genes aren't as strong as he thought they were.
